Minnesota Black Authors Expo (MBAE) is celebrating our 8th year. This year’s theme is “Bringing Black Books To Life” which will be resounding not just for one day this year, but throughout this year and 2025. For the first time, we will change the expo format and provide quarterly expos in different locations throughout Minnesota. We want to dispel the misconception that MBAE is strictly a Minneapolis organization.

825 Arts, St. Paul

10am - 3:00pm

All of the expos will include family-friendly festivities all day long, including:

 

  • 30+ featured authors selling books & engaging

  • Writer’s Boot Camp workshop

  • A live entertainment stage featuring local acts

  • Business vendors

  • Media invitations, including WCCO, KMOJ, MPR, Star Tribune, Pioneer Press, Insight News, and more.

Whether coming by foot, bike, bus or car we want to make sure your journey…is smooth. NOTE: Street parking is VERY limited! We recommend taking public transit if you can, or planning to park in a pay ramp and walk over.

 

The George Latimer Central Library is accessible to the Skyway System via RiverCentre Connection tunnel between RiverCentre and Landmark Towers.

 

You can take the Green Line to Central Station.

 

Many bus routes serve downtown Saint Paul. Visit metrotransit for maps and details.

The Science Museum Ramp is closest to the library. The River Centre ramp is accessible by skyway and the RiverCentre Connection tunnel. Metered street parking is also available, however please note that the  library is in the  Xcel Energy Center event zone and Saturdays are often busy in the area.
